American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Sarasota is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Sarasota is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Great donuts, but if you’re looking for a good iced coffee like I was, unfortunately this isn’t the place. I tried both locations and got the same sour, watery, almost transparent iced coffee. They really do have great donuts and great locations , a little more love/quality/care in their coffee would make this the perfect spot I thought it was.

Great service, delicious mini donuts, and refreshing lemonade! My family and I love stopping here for a quick treat whenever we’re in the area. The donuts are always fresh, the coffee is great, and the staff is friendly. Parking can be a little tricky, but if you can snag a spot, drop in it’s definitely worth it!

Very good donuts and very reasonably priced. My favorite are the cinnamon sugar. Donuts are made to order and are very delicious warm. Highly recommend.

Five stars all day for Meaney’s Mini Donuts! My wife and I stopped in for a quick snack after dinner, and I’m really glad we did. She went with a half dozen cinnamon donuts and I grabbed a half dozen strawberry cheesecake… and let me tell you, these things are straight crack. WOW. Fresh, warm, and absolutely loaded with flavor. You think you’re just grabbing a quick treat, and next thing you know you’re planning your next visit before you even leave. Cannot recommend these bad boys enough. If you’re in Siesta Key, this is a must stop.
